Dakota offices have a prime location with them being extremely close to the Brooklands Race track along with Mercedes-Benz World. Both of which are amazing venues so when we heard that on June 28 hundreds of guests will be welcomed at Mercedes-Benz World for an evening they won’t forget we knew we had to let everyone know! The annual Toast of Surrey Business Awards, sponsored by the Surrey Advertiser, present an unrivalled opportunity to celebrate the strength of local organisations.

Sectors including retail, creative communications, digital and services will be celebrated across 13 award categories at the presentation ceremony. Each winner will be recognised for their stellar efforts in their respective industries, and for their ability to sustain a successful business.

This year there has been a large number of businesses nominated within the various categories, including Global Media Hub of Weybridge. The company put itself forward for three categories – the SME Business of the Year, the International Trade Award and the Services Award.

Global Media Hub’s managing director, Stephanie Hyde, summarised the business, saying: “We are just two years old but in that brief time, we have impressed the magazine community with our creative approach, drive and dedication. “We are a team with more than 50 years in publishing and nearly 30 years of expertise in the free magazine sector.

“We have worked closely with brands such as Porter, Berkeley Homes, Christies, NME and Time Inc, building a reputation for providing our clients with access to exclusive and appealing international venues to drive brand reach, readership and advertising revenue.” Stephanie explained: “We have accomplished a lot in the last year, placing 12 million magazines, expanding our venue network to include locations in 33 countries and opening an office in New York.”

The company’s success and growth since its formation is evident, but with nominations now closed, Global Media Hub’s fate at the Toast of Surrey Business Awards is now in the hands of the judging panel in each of the three categories it has entered. “We are delighted to be attending the Toast of Surrey Business Awards this year for the first time,” Stephanie concluded. “It is exciting to be celebrating similar successes with neighbouring businesses.”

Dakota would love to attend the Toast of Surrey Business Awards, we think it would be an amazing evening! Maybe sometime in the next few years it would be possible…
